Member Secretary

At Netaji Subhas Medical College and Hospital (NSMCH), we are committed to building a strong foundation of knowledge and academic excellence. One of our key efforts in this direction is the Clinical Research Ethics Committee (CREC), which functions as an independent body to ensure that all research involving human participants is conducted with the highest ethical standards. Our committee strictly follows the guidelines set by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for biomedical and health research. With a well-structured team of 15 members, including both internal and external experts, CREC–NSMCH is dedicated to protecting the rights, safety, and dignity of research participants. The committee not only safeguards individual well-being but also plays a vital role in promoting ethical and socially responsible scientific progress.

Our broader vision is to promote and support research across various disciplines, encouraging collaboration among different academic fields and fostering partnerships with national and international research institutions. Through these efforts, we aim to strengthen the research ecosystem at NSMCH, leading to better outcomes in the form of research grants, innovative ideas, patents, and high-quality publications. Ultimately, our goal is to contribute to the advancement of science and healthcare while maintaining a strong commitment to ethical practices.
